Suluk in the West

Core Training

The Suluk in the West Core Training completed in September of 2013. It used a blended hybrid format comprised of five 5-day residential sessions along with fifteen one-day distance learning sessions through online group videoconferencing. The residential sessions of this U.S. west coast training were held at the Santa Sabina Center in San Rafael, California. Grounded in the Dominican monastic heritage and aware of the primary revelation of the divine in the natural world, the Center served as an ideal space of beauty, simplicity and silence for entering more deeply into spiritual practice. The distance learning sessions were held online using live web-based videoconferencing technology. Students attended distance learning days from their own home, or sometimes gather in small groups.
